Congratulations to the 2009 Champions 8-13-09 PHA Doubles results for Women B and Men Open Pro handball Alliance would like to congratulate
the winners of our 2009 Mens Open Doubles and Womens B Doubles Pha B Doubles at Coney Island
It was a nice and hot day in Coney Island but if you ask me a little to hot. Now down to the business. It was a good tournament run by the Ladies of the PHA we thank you for all of your hard work at the PHA. The turn out was pretty good they had 26 teams in total. Now we have in Fifth place Jonathan .T and Chris. In Forth we have Manny and Partner Jonathan . In Third we have Speed ( Martin) and Tato sorry they hand to leave early no picture. Now we come down to the top two teams Vladi and Charlie and Timbo and Carlito. Both of the teams were strong some of the gets were pretty amazing from the two teams. One guy behind me was asking me where these kids B players they don't look like B players to me they look like A's. The final score was 21-13 Timbo and Carlito take 800 and Trophy , Charlie and Vladi take home 400 and Trophy. Hello all welcome to another day of Handball from Nothing But handball. Today we are here in the Bronx at Arthur park. This was a nice total of 14 teams here today but as you can see there can be only one winner to take the 220 dollar prize. Which was Freddy and Will who had to beat out Tarzan (Sleven) and Partner who won 80 dollars. I will be post the final game of this in a little while. Bernie's 102 and 2nd Ave Tournament 8-8-09
Hello all due to the bad weather we are having lately a lot of tournaments are starting to overlap. This one was over lapped with the one in Harlem at 128 st. So Bernie hand 8 teams and turned into a out of the hat double elimination Open tournament with the winner takes a pot of 200 dollars. A lot of the games where amazing to watch because of all the strong players. There where 7 A players, one under cover A player Jesus, and the rest where B players. The final game was with Black Kenny and Carlos Vs Pete and Lefty Eddie. Because Pete and Eddie won all of there games for any one to defeat them they need to beat them twice. So Kenny and Carlos game it a try the first game they beat them 21 -9. The second game it was the opposite Carlos and Kenny had to change there game plan. Pete and Carlos took it to them and made sure that the first game wouldn't be a repeat and won the Second game and winning the pot. If you want to see all the action it on this site. Gio is this Years New King of the Courts That's right you heard and now every one who new this day would come step up for your boy Gio , who won the crown and two thousand dollars. To all of the great players at this years king of the courts and there where about 52 of you guys better luck next year. This year Justin couldn't play due to his new job but he did say he would be at the Sky bounce tournament. 12 Park and Grand AB doubles Hello again to Nothing But Handball today's tournament was bought you by: HARMON & LINDER LAW FIRM LEGAL FUNDING. This tournament had only 8 teams but all the players where strong. This means most of all the games where good games. Gio and wai had to beat Rookie and James to take third place. Second place was taken be Pauly and PsP. First place was taken by Charlie and Ed who beat Rookie and Ed, Whip and David, and then Pauly and PsP for the 1200 dollar first prize. Al & Burneys B doubles Welcome again to another Tournament bought to you by AL & Burney. This year was a decent turn out with 32 team that included the buy backs. But like all good thing that come to an end so did most of the teams. The final three teams where Carlito and Juile, Ant (Baby Snuka) & Al , Brazil & Javier. The third place team was Carlito and Juile who took home 100 dollars they lost to Javier and Brazil. The Second place team was Ant & AL, who lost to Javier and Brazil , they took home 250. The first place team took home 500 dollars give it up for Javier & Brazil. The final game was taped and is free for you all to SEE HERE.
Castle hill B doubles by Cricket Zone and Trophy world This tournament was bought to you by Cricket zone and Trophy world. There were 12 teams with first round buy backs. Congrats to Timbo and Carlitos for winning 200 dollars and tournament held in Castle Hill by Jose .2nd place and 120 dollars went to Dito (Izzy's Student) and Will(102nd). Will and Dito beat Baby Snuka and Danny for the right to go to the finals. It was a tourney in which the trophies were donated to Jose by the Cricket Zone and Trophy world across from Castle Hill very nice trophies. Danny and Ant (Baby Snuka) got third place trophies. 1st MVP Trophy Ardit Bita for playing his butt off on a game vs Danny and Baby Snuka although he lost. But he played like warrior. 2nd MVP trophy went to Lefty Jessica, it was between her and Melissa , Jose took votes through out the players and Jessica won the most votes.
Front ball comes to Central Park Hello all and welcome again to another update from Nothing but Handball. I found out about this event from Izzy who told me about it at the last min so I ran over in my little car to see what was up. Now front ball is a sport that is played over sea where you are allowed to make few mistakes. You can gain points on your opponents serve or your own. Unlike handball that gives you two faults you get none. The good thing is that games are fast and only go to the score of 10 and it is the best out of three. The third game is a tie breaker and only goes to 5 points. The front ball is a small ball that has thin soft sponge and a hard center like a softball. If anyone wants to see the game I have them recorded on this site for you viewing pleasure. Most of the monster of handball were all taken out in the first round. Rookie had to tap out because he hurt his hand. The only one that didn't was Willie Polanco. In the finals was Waltary Mexico vs. Medina Cuba. Medina took first place $3500 Waltary took second $1500 third I think got 1000 and USA Willie got 500 for forth place. I am not to sure about the last two but second place winner Waltary told us about the first and second prize money.
Rick and Mikes Arthur Park B Doubles Hello all Welcome to the results of the Rick and Mikes B doubles. Now there was 20 teams that showed up a few new face that you don't know of but should. Now in third place we have James and Black from Arthur park. James and Black in the semi finals were playing against Timbo and Carlito. In the beginning of the game James and Black took a quick lead and keep it for a while. Timbo seemed to be getting mad and Carlito was his usually cool self the score was 17 to 4 James and Blacks lead. James was pulling off some impressive shoots. Then there was a switch up and slowly Carlito and Timbo started to come back. The final score was 21 -19 Timbo and Carlito pull it off. The final game was with Danny and Jerome Vs Carlito and Timbo. This game was a battle. In the start of the game Timbo and Carlito took the lead 6-3. But Danny and Jerome fought back and then took there game up a little to tie up 18 - 18. Timbo was getting mad in the back then Danny and Jerome took the lead 23-19. In the end it was Carlito who stepped up and started shooting and got the last four points need to win the game 25-23. Timbo and Carlito win.
